DYNATREAT 1010 For Anaerobic Treatment of Domestic & Industrial Wastewater

DYNATREAT 1010 has been specifically designed to enhance the performance of troublesome septic systems, Imhoff tanks, digesters and anaerobic lagoons. DYNATREAT 1010 is particularly effective in controlling grease accumulations in leach lines of subsurface disposal fields, seepage pits and digesters. DYNATREAT 1010 will improve organics digestion and gas production in anaerobic digesters.

Naturally resident bacterial populations are most often not capable of handling the more and more complex substrates delivered to modern day treatment systems, whether they be activated sludge, trickling filter or RBC type municipal facilities, small package plants, septic systems or lagoons. Bacteria are selective degraders and will always choose the least difficult components of a waste stream to digest for energy to grow and reproduce. In practice, through the addition of specifically formulated bacteria blends to the waste system, an artificial dominance of organisms capable of handling more complex waste components is created. These bacteria will also attack and digest the easier waste components first but are then capable of moving on to the more difficult substrates that natural populations cannot handle.

In properly functioning residential septic systems the major portion of organic wastes settle out in the sludge or float to the top where they are digested by bacteria. The liquid portion will flow to the drainage area. However, when greases and other sewer slime are not properly digested and continue to accumulate in the septic tank, it eventually flows out into the drainage or percolation area. DYNATREAT 2000 Selected Bacterial Cultures are a carefully balanced blend of natural bacteria, nutrients and synergists. This product has been specifically formulated to treat moderate to heavy loads of animal and vegetable oils and greases in sewers, drains, pumping stations and pits. DYNATREAT 2000 is ideal for use in industrial pretreatment facilities handling wastes from commercial bakeries, pet food processing, meat processing and rendering plants.

The cultures in DYNATREAT 2000 are particularly effective floc-formers. As such, they can enhance the settling characteristics of solids in activated sludge systems, trickling filters, ponds and lagoons. DYNATREA T 2000 bacteria are classified as facultative anaerobes. This designation indicates that they can grow and proliferate in the presence or absence of free molecular oxygen. Nutrient availability is vitally important to ensure effective waste treatment. Carbon, nitrogen, phosphorous, trace elements and minerals must all be present in sufficient concentration to support growth of bacteria. The organisms in DYNATREAT 2000 have been selected for their ability to degrade carbon (organic) compounds, and the treatment process must be designed to provide the additional growth factors.

When dealing with food processing wastes it is very important to ensure that the levels of nitrogen and phosphorous are adequate. A BOD:N:P ratio of 10:15:5 is ideal. Trace minerals such as iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium and sodium are usually present in adequate concentrations. However, it is not unknown for deficiencies to occur, and in cases of poor treatment efficiency, trace mineral depletion should be investigated.

DYNATREAT 2015 is a blend of specially selected, natural saprophytic microorganisms, synergists and nutrients. This product has been formulated to augment many areas of domestic wastewater treatment including gravity mains, force mains, lift stations and siphons within the municipal sewerage collection system.

The bacteria and synergists in DYNATREAT 2015 have been selected for their ability to rapidly strip, emulsify and degrade the wide range of organic compounds normally found in domestic sewage flows. They produce the enzyme systems necessary for degrading grease and when operating in anaerobic conditions do not produce hydrogen sulfide. They will outcompete hydrogen sulfide farmers found in anoxic lines.

When treating gravity mains and feeder lines it is recommended to begin at the lowest downstream trouble spot and work upstream in 500-foot increments. As the DYNATREAT 2015 achieve dominance they begin to digest and liquify grease accumulations which will break off and move downpipe with sewage flows. Working backwards prevents any blockage downstream from chunks of grease released from sewer line walls. Continued treatment will cause a bacterial slime layer similar to that on a trickling filter substrate to form on the inside of the sewer line helping to prevent any future grease and organic build up.

DYNATREAT 2015 used in a sewerage collection system on a regular maintenance program will also improve overall biological performance of a waste treatment plant. This is important because as built up organic deposits are loosened and slough off the pipe walls they will travel down line. If the downline pipes are not clean there can be major blockage problems from this debris. The bacteria in 2015 will colonize the walls of the sewer lines and produce a slime layer that prevents renewed buildup of organic deposits. DYNACLEAN is a balanced blend of naturally occurring bacteria, formulated with buffers, nutrients and wetting agents. DYNACLEAN is useful in the maintenance of kitchen and household drains, restaurant grease traps and sewer lines, virtually anywhere that grease and organic build up compromises plumbing operation. DYNACLEAN may also be used in recreational vehicle and boat holding tanks or as an inoculant for latrine waste pits. This product will digest organics and reduce foul odors.

Hotel & Motel plumbing: When drains first appear to be running slow, treatment with DYNACLEAN will substantially reduce stoppage. Pour 1 teaspoonful of DYNACLEAN into the basin, shower stall or bath tub and follow with a glass or two of warm water. DYNACLEAN works best when mixed with warm water, stirred well and applied, followed by a glass of warm water. This treatment should be repeated daily until drains again run freely. Maintain clear drains with weekly treatment or monthly depending upon need. In multi-level buildings begin bacterial drain maintenance on the lowest floor and work upwards on a daily basis. Once plumbing is cleared maintain by treatment through top floor only. Always treat at night or whenever drains will be least used so as to maximize the retention time in the lines.

Restaurant and Commercial Kitchen Grease Traps: DYNACLEAN will eliminate foul odors that come from grease traps and do away with the unpleasant task of hand cleaning and pumping. The dried bacteria cultures in DYNACLEAN will use grease as a food source and prevent grease accumulations. Clean-up Program: Average grease traps, up to 2 cubic meters in commercial and industrial kitchens can usually be cleaned up by mixing 250 grams of DYNACLEAN in 4 or more liters of warm water for each 400 liters of capacity in the trap. Presoak for 4 to 12 hours and pour into the trap through the nearest drain. For traps over 2 cubic meters increase this dosage by 50% for any excess over 2000 liters capacity. For Cleanup programs, always stir the reactivated bacteria into the trap. It is essential that DYNACLEAN is thoroughly mixed with the contents of the trap. Repeat this treatment each day for the first week. Maintenance Program: For traps up to 400 liters mix 1 tablespoon of DYNACLEAN in 4 liters of warm water and apply daily. For traps larger than 400 liters use 1 tablespoon for each 400 liters of capacity.

Using DYNACLEAN: For maximum effectiveness the bacterial cultures should be added at the end of the day or during the period of lowest usage. Retention in traps and lines is essential to satisfactory performance. DYNACLEAN contains live bacteria which can be compromised by high temperatures, above 49° C, or by use of chlorine bleach or disinfectants in cleaning. If a scum or thick mat develops in the grease trap, it is usually because the action of the DYNACLEAN is causing grease and organics to turn into gas and this gas forms a layer between the water in the trap and the floating “cap.” Break this cap up as necessary with a strong stream of water and at the same time, double the daily treatment on the day this work is done.
